Section 3 – Other types of Information Collected

Some information about your visit to CO2.ie is collected. We sometimes use the non-personally identifiable information that we collect to improve the design and content of our site and to enable us to personalise your Internet experience.

Cookies
To enhance your experience on our website, some of our web pages use "cookies." Cookies are text files we place in your computer's browser to store your preferences.

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's computer tied to information about the user. We may use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies. For the session ID cookie, once users close the browser, the cookie simply terminates. A persistent cookie is a small text file stored on the user's hard drive for an extended period of time. Persistent cookies can be removed by following Internet browser help file directions.

You can configure your browser to accept all cookies, reject all cookies, or notify you when a cookie is set.

Cookies, by themselves, do not tell us your email address or other personally identifiable information.

Log Files
We use log files on CO2.ie in the same way as most standard web servers do. This includes Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyse trends, administer the site, track user's movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information. We may use a tracking utility that uses log files to analyse user movement.
